Deck Builder 3.7.0 is about getting you playing sooner and getting out of your way. The demo deck now ships inside the app, publishing to the Deck Store is free for everyone, and a splitting bug that quietly reordered your cards is fixed. Here is what changed.
A built-in demo deck, ready before you are
New to Deck Builder? The first launch now hands you a complete 52-card deck instantly, with no download and no network connection required. The deck is bundled with the app, so it is ready the moment you tap Try the demo deck.
Previously the demo deck was fetched from the Deck Store on first run, which meant waiting on a download before you could try anything. Now you go from install to shuffling in a couple of seconds, even offline.
Publishing to the Deck Store is now free for everyone
Sharing a deck you built no longer requires a Pro subscription. Any signed-in user can publish, up to three decks per day, with the same manual review as before.
Pro still unlocks the things it always did: unlimited local decks beyond the free limit, and Cloud Sync across your devices. Publishing simply is not one of them any more. Read the full guide to publishing your deck.
Splitting a deck keeps your original order
This one came from a player who wrote in. When you split a deck with shuffle on split turned off, the pieces are meant to be a clean cut of the pile, in order. A bug rotated the pile by one card first, so the top card ended up at the bottom of the last pile, and toggling the shuffle setting made no difference.
Splitting now cuts the pile exactly as you would with real cards. If you need a specific order preserved through a split, it holds. See how splitting a deck works.
Card import tells you what is actually wrong
Importing a card used to fail with a flat “the file could not be read”, whatever the cause. Now the app says what it found: that you picked an image instead of a card file, that a CSV has unbalanced quotes or a row that does not match its header, or that the deck you were importing into no longer exists. The file picker also filters to the right file types up front. Read the import guide.
Fixes
- Fixed a crash that could happen when using the back gesture on a tapped card
- Only the most recently viewed card blinks in the deck grid, instead of several at once
A note on the terms of service
The terms were updated to reflect that publishing is now free for everyone. These are editorial changes that describe the new pricing, and they do not add obligations or change how your data is handled. You can read them any time from Settings, then Legal.
